Cornflower sat upon a moss covered log under the canopy of tree's deep in mossflower wood resting her bow and arrows beside her and rummaged threw her sachel snacking upon the berries she produced from it as she took in the beuty of the area smiling faintly to herself as she watched a butterfly land next to her, Swallowing her mouthfull of strawberry she gently encouraged the butterfly onto her finger admiring it's beutiful blue wings, "Are you a long way from home too?" She asked not expecting an answer in her soft tone,
Watching the insect take flight high into the woods treetops she turned her attention back to finnishing her food before taking up her quither of arrows aroun swinging it around her shoulders before holding her bow and looked back around the forest, She didn't know how far she had travelled nor how far she may have yet still to travel, But she had heard from a couple of freindly moles that redwall abbey was always open to those who needed help and cornflower had her heart set on finding it...

Ioalus walked silently through the woods, his footsteps careful and quiet as he made sure he didn't disturb anything in this place. Fenrir was back in the Abbey, spending time with Sarin, his new favorite person. Deciding to give the two some time alone, he looked around as he walked, admiring the trees as he did, then he heard a soft voice nearby and turned to see who was there. It sounded like a young girl and he wondered what she would be doing out here on her own.
At first, he didn't see anyone, then he remembered that there were some smaller animals at Redwall and looked a bit more carefully. That was when he saw Cornflower. A small smile crossed his lips and he knelt behind her, his voice quiet so he wouldn't scare her... he hoped. "Hello, miss."

Cornflower almost jumped out of her skin giving a short sharp cry spinning around and jumping back, "Who are you?!" she snapped, She wasn't being mean but he had just scared her and why was he sneaking up on her like that?
"Sorry..." She sighed looking at the newcomer curiously unsure of him still, "My name's cornflower... Who are you and why are you sneaking around for?" She asked pulling her hand to her chest trying to get her heart to calm down.

He hid his reaction as she seemed to nearly have a heart attack. He waited for her to calm down and smiled a little as the little mouse introduced herself. "I am sorry to have scared you, I didn't mean to. My name is Ioalus." He held his hand down to her, realizing now that she could fit in the palm of his hand, so he just held one of his fingers out to her, the best way he could think of to shake hands. "My son and I are new in the area and I often forget that those outside the Abbey aren't used to one such as myself." He looked down at himself, knowing he must seem like a leviathan to the poor little mouse.

Indeed he did, Cornflower looked up at ioalus unsure wether to feel threatened or scared, She looked around for any sight of another like him skulking around but couldn't see anyone amongst the tree's before turning her attention back to ioalus, "Your from redwall abbey?" She asked a hopefull tone in her voice, Perhaps he could point her in the right direction...
"Ive come from across the ocean and i heard about the abbey, Do you know wich way it is from here?" She asked eagerly hoping ioalus would be kind enougth to show her the way.

He smiled as she took interest in his mention of the Abbey and he nodded in response to both questions. "I would be delighted to help you there. Here." He set his hand on the ground, palm up so she could climb in. "I can take you there. I promise not to harm you." He looked down at her, kindness in his eyes. He was a good beast, that much was certain once one looked into his eyes. He wouldn't harm the young mouse. He would do everything he could to keep her safe. "I'll take you to meet a good friend of mine. He's a Squirrel named Sarin."

(Sorry for the short posts before im a little out of practice, ^-^; )
Cornflower smiled her heart lifting when he said he would be delighted to help her abut to thank him when he rested his hand before her and she looked unsurely at it casting a quick glance back over her shoulder before looking up at him and smiling gingerly, She looked into his eye's though and felt she could trust him but she didn't often trust her judgement. "Thankyou..." She said shyly clambering up into his palm tucking her habit under her as she sat cross-legged on his palm resting her bow across her lap and pulling her ponytail over her shoulder twirling it around her finger uncomfortably. It wasn't that she distrusted ioalus it was simple fact of her size compared to him making her feel quite vulnerable but she pushed her feeling aside as best she could,
"Thankyou, Your very kind ioalus...." She said after a short puase of silence and looked back up into his eye's and smiled sweetly leaving her hair alone and tucking her hands into the sleeve's of her habbit and wondering if the rest of the inhabitants of redwall were as kind as ioalus, "Didn't you say you came out here with your son?" She asked rembering what he had said and looked around for another hiding in the forest anywhere,

He smiled as she climbed into his hand and he slowly stood to keep from scaring her. Then he started walking, heading back towards the abbey. Smiling softly, he looked down at her. "You're welcome, Cornflower." He walked smoothly, so she wouldn't be jostled. He was extremely gentle with her, as gentle as he was with Fenrir when he was a newborn.
When she asked about his son, he smiled a little. "He is back in the Abbey with the other Dibbuns there. We have been wandering since he was born and he needs friends. I'm happy he's found them here." He looked down at Cornflower, smiling a little. "I'm sure he will like you. You seem like a kind young lady." The abbey was now in sight and he pointed to it, showing her where they were going.

Taygen watched the Snow Leopard and the Field mouse's encounter closley from the trees. He had been following the Field mouse 'Cornflower' in hope of finding this fabled 'Redwall Abbey' and then they began to move. He followed them closely and being smaller than Iomas he didn't want to been seen.
But then they disappeared round a corners and Taygen lost them he started to run and tripped over a log on the ground and instinctively he curled up into a ball and he tumbled into Iomas' hind legs...
