No New Posts Fort Marshank

Fort Marshank was a timber-and-stone fortress and slave encampment on the northern part of the Eastern Coast that Badrang the Tyrant ruled with an iron fist, along with a cruel army of rats, foxes, weasels and ferrets.

The fortress was rectangular, with high stone walls protecting from any attack. They were wide enough to allow the hordesbeasts to man them effectively. There was only one gate, though a secret tunnel entered the fort through a pit in which slaves were sometimes thrown. The horde and its leader lived in a wooden longhouse, but Marshank's slaves lived in a large compound surrounded by a wooden palisade.

Marshank was built after Badrang, a northern corsair captain, scuttled his ship and headed northeast with his army, capturing slaves as he went. Upon arrival at the Eastern Coast, Badrang decided to conquer the region and had the fortress built with his slaves. He became known as Badrang the Tyrant.

Marshank fell in the Battle of Marshank, and was seemingly deserted afterwards.

No New Posts Noonvale

Noonvale is a peaceful community of woodlanders, nestled in the deepest part of the Northeastern Forest. This region has never known war, thanks in part to the efforts of its residents in keeping its exact location secret from outsiders. This quiet glade is surrounded by oaks, sycamores and elms, and is covered with soft moss and a great variety of flowers, including foxgloves, anemones, bluebells and ground ivy. The Broadstream River flows into this area and swells into a waterfall below.

In some ways Noonvale holds similarities to Mossflower Woods. Its inhabitants are dedicated to peace and include moles, hedgehogs, squirrels and otters. Food is abundant and prepared by dedicated cooks. Noonvale also has expert brewers and wine makers. Habitations are covered with thatched rooftops and are interspersed with flower gardens and lush orchards. Some of the fruits found in Noonvale include plums, cherries, damsons, raspberries, and redcurrants.

For all these reasons, Noonvale represents peace, happiness and security to its residents.

Board Description
Eastern Coast
The Eastern Coast is a strip of land bordering the Eastern Sea and separated from the Western Coast by a relatively small stretch of barren land near the Broadstream River. The weather in the Eastern Coast is cold, windy and very humid and fierce carnivorous sea gulls and gannets populate the shores. Corsair attacks from the Eastern Sea are more rare than on the Western Sea.

The northern part of the coast is protected by steep cliffs and bordered by hills, a small scrubby woodland, and marshes. A colony of pygmy shrews resides in caves along the cliffs. Nestled against the North Hills, was once Fort Marshank, ruled by Badrang the Tyrant, who sought to conquer the Eastern Coast but fortunately failed. A small grave was laid by the cliff for Juniper, one of Badrang's former slaves who died fighting the tyrant.

South down the coast is the Northeastern Forest where Noonvale stayed hidden. Further south are some hinterlands, inhabited by Shoredog's Holt, and even further south are some fields, where Camp Tussock is located. The mid-eastern hills are inhabited by hares.
