Name: Agnira Silvertongue Gender: Female
Age: 27
Species: European Wildcat
Personality: Agnira is cold, vicious and manipulative. That is what can be said of her in the least and simplest of terms. She is a merciless, relentless warrior, and deals blows to those who stand in her way with a remorseless hand. She is widely feared as a cruel murderess, an executioner of the innocents. In essence, Agnira is evil. Agnira is not, however, a mindless killer. Quite the opposite; she is not insane, and knows exactly what she is doing, taking great pleasure from it. She has a way with words, which is how she gained the nickname of Silvertongue, for her ability to manipulate and bend words to her will.
This does not mean she is a backseat leader – no way. She trusts nobody, not even her second-in-command, Nerelik. She will always be at the front of her brigade in any battle. Despite the fact that she is a killer, Agnira is not a coward. She is, in fact, quite courageous, and her presence often boosts her army’s morale. She is not afraid of anything except losing her sight entirely, which means that she does not fear death. She revels in the glory of fighting, the feeling of blades piercing through skin, the idea of erasing a life in one simple movement.
Agnira is highly logical and intelligent, and she will not make any moves without calculating the outcome first. This makes her a skilled tactician, and she will often spend days planning her strategies before putting them into action; by doing this, she almost never loses battles. She is clever enough to know when a fight will be lost, and will not hesitate to withdraw if she feels that the losses will be too high. She does not care about her fellow fighters, but she knows that they will have to be replaced somehow, and to be honest, she cannot really be bothered to deal with all of that recruitment and training.
To her captains and those who know her, Agnira is a very sarcastic, very dry individual. She has a sense of humour that relies on others suffering most of the time. However, she is a very loyal, very good leader when it gets right down to it. Her public presence is massive, and people can feel her the moment she walks into a room. Her subordinates admire her, her enemies fear her and anybody else tends to keep well clear of her.
Appearance: Agnira is different to most wildcats in colour, in that most of her is a dull black rather than the usual brown or dust colours. She has tiger stripes of lighter greys and sandy browns, but most of her body is black as pitch. Her eyes are bright green, luminescent in the darkness, with very slitted pupils. They always seem to have a malicious spark to them. A couple of distinguishing marks that Agnira owns are the dirty white circles around her eyes. They are not perfect rings, but are more like smudges; the left one is slightly larger than the right, almost down to her nose. Her paws are also white, and there is a white spot on the base of her tail.
Structure wise, Agnira is quite small for a wildcat. Her physique is quite a bit sleeker than that of her peers, and her face is a little more angled – more like that of the domestic cat. However, this also means that she is not as tough as other wildcats, and must rely on her agility to progress in battle. Fortunately, this is something she has done well since she became a warlord. Her tail is long-ish, but the end is a little ragged – about a centimetre of it was cut off in a fight years ago.
Agnira has a dark scar on the right side of her face - it is barely visible through the fur, but it has left her partially blind in that eye. If you plan on attacking her, that’s the angle you want to do it from. Agnira wears a dark brown tunic when outside, accompanied by a russet cloak, which does up at the front with a decorated golden buckle. She also has a sheath for her sword perched on her hip and a quiver on her back.
Allegiance: Vermin
Weapons: A longsword, often dipped in poison, named Deathstrike and a set of bow and arrows.
Position: Warlord
History: Agnira Silvertongue was not born with this name. Her actual name is Agnira Swiftclaw, like her father before her. She was born in a small settlement not far from Mossflower Forest, to two very normal wildcat parents. From the moment she was born, everybody was aware that she, however, was quite unusual. Her colouring was odd - black as the night sky, with two smudges over her eyes. It was not like the usual tabby colour of most kittens.
As a child, Agnira was always the leader of the groups. She controlled the others with her words, convincing them to do her bidding. Whereas her 'friends' admired her, most of the older wildcats privately saw her as a bit of threat to their children. Her cunningness was something normally valued amongst her kind, but she was overly so, thinking up outrageous plans that got both her and her friends into trouble.
Her ideologies were not agreeable either. Unlike the mostly peaceful residents of her clan, she believed strongly in wildcat supremacy, with all other creatures as mere servants. When she was thirteen, she confronted the clan's Elder with these theories; she explained that if they banded together, she reckoned that they could take on the other nearby settlements and build up their supplies, et cetera. From there, they could continue to invade and conquer other places.
The Elder was outraged that Agnira had even considered the idea, and raised his paw to strike her down, as he would any disobedient youngster. To his surprise, Agnira flicked out her claws, and raked them across his chest, opening the skin and piercing his still-beating heart. He gasped and flailed, but of course, to no use. With no remorse in her eyes, Agnira tore out his heart, and flung it away. Then she turned, left the settlement, and did not return.
She began to build her reputation in the Mossflower area, committing atrocious deeds to be recognised and feared. She would show that Elder that he was wrong - wildcats were superior to all others. Along the way, Agnira gained a few allies - in particular, a ferret called Nerelik who was an outcast from a band of treasure hunters. Later on, she also gained the loyalty of a hawk named Ursula, who was rather insane.
Together, the three became known as the fiercest in the area, terrorising all those who came near. Agnira was pleased, and her ranks swelled. Rats, wolverines, a couple of foxes...soon, their group was massive. Agnira abandoned her previous second name, and took on the one that her enemies called her; Silvertongue. She used her words to torment those she hated, convince those she needed and take what she wanted.
And to this day, she continues to do just that - only now, she has her mind set on taking over a bigger prize; the volcano fortress, Salamandastrom...
