Name: Burlup Hoggletip
Gender: Male
Age: 9 years old
Species: Hedgehog
Personality (2 paragraphs):
Burlup, like any other Dibbun within Redwall, is an energetic youngster. He delights in playing games and is known for playing pranks with his friends and avoiding bath time. He and his friends once locked themselves in the Library for refusing to go to bed. Burlup seems like any other Dibbun in terms of playfulness and energy but there is another side of him, which few sometimes see.
Burlup has beem known, on occasion, to be wise and responsible. He cares deeply for the Abbeydwellers and would never hurt another Abbeydweller intentionally. He likes to read and write riddles, and he was clever enough to think of putting a brick inside his stuffed badger teddy. Some speculate that he may become the Abbey Recorder. Overall Burlup is a rebellious, mischievous Dibbun with bouts of momentary maturity and intelligence far beyond his years.
Appearance (2 paragraphs):
Burlup looks like any other hedgehog Dibbun, save for the white line down the centre spikes. Sister Juniper theorised that this is some sort of distinguishing birth mark. Indeed this may be the case as none of his siblings have this mark. His eyes are wide and innocent and his laughter sounds like bells in the winds.
For clothes, Burlup simply wears a blue habit with a hood with his feet bare. He sometimes can be seen with his stuffed badger teddy, who he has dubbed Faithara – a combination of the two Badger Mothers’ names.
Allegiance (Redwall, Salamandastron, etc): Redwall
Weapons (1 paragraph):
Since Burlup is still a Dibbun he doesn’t really have any weapons but has been known to carry a stuffed teddy in the form of a badger, which has a brick inside it.
Position (Only applies to Redwallers, Salamandastron resident and anyone in a tribe): Dibbun
History (be detailed - 2 - 3 paragraphs):
Burlup Boggletip was born in Redwall Abbey and was doted upon by not just his family but the entire Abbey. He was looked after by the then-Badger Mother, Kiara Grassbarrow, and her young assistant, Faith Snowfur. His infancy was normal and would be played with by his nine other siblings. He was taught how to read, write, talk and walk by Kiara.
However, this would soon become a mistake since Burlup would become a mischievous little Dibbun, along with his friends, Pickner (mouse), Saffron (squirrelmaid), Gurrlim (mole) and Mirajane (Pikemaid). They were punished several times for their misdeeds but that didn’t seem to sink in. However, Burlup would one day show great maturity when he got help for Mirajane when she was trapped inside the library one day. he also surprised his own mother when he thought of a riddle for them to solve.
Currently, Burlup is being taught how to crack codes and riddles by Kiara and Faith and also how bake carrot cake.

“Good, Naota but remember that the enemy won’t be so lenient with you. You need to act fast, make sure that they don’t take you by surprise!” said Dang Lao, who was overseeing the boy’s training. Au Cho and TenTen sat further back, drinking tea, watching as their grandson trained. Naota panted as he held his sword and looked at his grandfather. Words began to form in the spot next to where the mute Earthbender was.
<<But Grandfather, I'm tired. Can we take a breather?>>
“No breathers when there are Fire Nation soldiers trying to hack you limb from limb,” said Dang Lao. Au Cho and TenTen smiled at one another and got up, deciding to stop Dang Lao before he caused Naota to pass out. The poor boy hadn’t had a meal or a drink for a couple of hours and he was sweating buckets. Au Cho touched her husband’s shoulder lovingly.
“I think that’s enough for now, dear. Naota needs his rest. We can’t all push through our fatigue like you can,” she said, looking at her beloved. Turning to her grandson, she smiled warmly and indicated that he could go. With a quick sign of ‘thank you’ Naota dashed inside to grab a meal and a drink.
After the lunch, Naota decided to go out for a walk, which always made him feel better. He knew that Dang Lao meant well but sometimes he felt like Dang Lao was so pushy, as if he wanted to have perfect soldiers for grandchildren. Naota decided to forget about it and so bought some food and other things, which the family needed.
Just then, he heard a high-pierced scream and turned to see a house go on fire.
The Fire Nation! I have to warn Grandfather and the others! thought Naota before rushing off home. when he got there, it appeared that they already knew and were preparing to fight. Naota’s aunt, Sakura were preparing the children.
“Oh, Naota, thank goodness! We don’t have time to gather things. You and the others are leaving,” she said hurriedly. Before the children could protest, they were carted off outside. “I didn’t want you fight, hence why you’re leaving. Hurry, go!” The children ran, hiding whenever Fire Nation soldiers appeared. Everything seemed well but Naota’s siblings and cousins were worried for their family so they went back, leaving Naota, alone and feeling lonely. Just as he was about to go look for them, a couple of soldiers came, forcing the young Earthbender to flee for his life.
